A Car Burglar Shot His Crime Partner On The Head In His Attempt To Murder A Police Officer

Police say Brandon Thompson, 30, shot Smith in the back of the head while firing at Senior Austin police officer Adam Reinhart. Reinhart encountered Thompson and Smith around 4 a.m. Wednesday while assisting with the repossession of a reported stolen vehicle. Thompson is now charged with attempted capital murder of a peace officer.
