Elderly Woman Was Run Over By Porto Lucena Hall Tractor While Crossing A Road In A Neighborhood

A machine belonging to the city hall of Porto Lucena, in the northwest of RS, ran over a 78-year-old woman. The equipment was being operated by a civil servant. The incident occurred at around 8:15 am on Avenida Argentina. The woman was taken for medical attention.

According to police officer Tiago Tescke, who is responsible for investigating the case, the tractor driver reported that he was maneuvering the machine when the accident happened. He reportedly said that he did not see the victim who was crossing outside the pedestrian crossing. The operator is qualified for the job, according to the police.
