The incident took place in a sector of Villa Mella, where several young people were gathered together handling what appeared to be a firearm. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers, apparently believing that it was a real situation, intervened and a shootout ensued. During the exchange of gunfire, Yanderi lost his life, and an unidentified man was injured.
