A motorcyclist who crashed into an electricity pole while distracted by his cell phone in the São Manoel neighborhood of Americana (SP) has died. The accident happened on December 25, Christmas Day, and the young man died this Thursday (2).
Images from surveillance cameras show the young man holding his cell phone with one hand and the handlebars with the other, on Rua São Simão. Distracted, he loses control of the motorcycle, which heads towards the power pole, and he does not have time to react to the impact.
The motorcyclist spent eight days in serious condition in the ICU of the “Dr. Waldemar Tebaldi” Municipal Hospital and died yesterday due to injuries caused by the accident.
